Family Adventure Packs
Family Fun Made Easy, Facilitated by the Local Church
Research indicates that parents have the biggest influence on the discipleship journey of children. With that in mind, I developed Family Adventure Packs.
Each Adventure Pack has an engaging theme with suggested Bible stories to read and fun activities to do as a family.
In our church, we started with 6 Adventure Packs and they were a hit, so we added more as we had time and available resources.
There are a variety of different themed packs to choose from:

The Themes
In choosing items for the Adventure packs, we started with items we already had, items I had seen before or tried out, items I found used or at thrift stores, or items recommended by families. Then I did some additional shopping to fill out each Adventure Pack. Our lists below should save you some time and money, but if you have items on hand or items you love, don't be afraid to use those items as well! The list below includes the toys, games, and activities that we found to be engaging, durable, reusable, versatile, and just plain fun!

Throw Throw Burrito Game- we have the original but there is a World's Smallest version which is what I would buy if we didn't already have the other one!

Light Up Rainbow Toy- We have a toddler toy, but if I were purchasing today, I'd choose these stepping stones.

Watercolor Paper- we had a clipboard like this laying around, so we used it for this paper. It worked perfectly!

Days of Creation Nesting Blocks are no longer sold, so I'd go with a mini felt board and these pieces.

Geocaching giveaway bag (This is just a ziploc with some small toys or items in because it is customary to take a prize from a geocache and leave one behind for the next one to find it.)

Slingshot Copters- these are ridiculously fun but sometimes get lost, broken or stuck in trees, so we bought a large pack and send 10 with the pack at a time.
